This was tough to get today! I needed to grow an extra arm or two. I used a huge mirror off of the wall and had it laying across a chair. Then I needed light and something overtop so it wouldnt show the ceiling. In one hand I was holding an arched white poster board, and in that same hand an LED flashlight trying to aim it in teh right spot and hold the posterboard from falling. In the other hand I had my camera, in which I was trying to stabilize against my other full hand and moving my body to focus since my hands were full. :) I'm nuts!
I'm sure it would have been very entertaining to see a photo of you taking the shot :-)
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job here - it's turned out well and I like that you rotated the shot.
Oh, this is great. Looks like a strand, hanging. I love the reflections. Nice addition to your collection!
ReplyDeleteYou need a tripod and a remote, girl! They are invaluable for just such things. I couldn't live without both mine for exactly these reasons. Not enough hands to deal with the setup and the camera.
ReplyDeleteBut this looks great as a result. I might have said all the specular highlights are a bit distracting, but somehow, in this one, I don't mind them all. They lend a sparkly atmosphere to the whole thing that really works well. Congrats on eliminating the ceiling with the posterboard. Inspired thinking.
I do have a tripod and remote :) And for some odd reason I didn't think to use it on this HAHA. I used them for yesterday's shot, but didn't today for an unknown reason :D
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to turn this on its side, it works so well.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a photo of DNA or something. Really cool.
ReplyDeleteAs Ratbar says, I also immediately thought of a strand of DNA. Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteYour hard work and dedication did pay of.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great.
It looks like a big stack of marbles.
Wonderful.
MarblesDNA, very clever.
ReplyDeleteEven with a tripod and a remote I sometimes find myself having both my hands full holding stuff. Clamps are great friends to but sometimes hands work better.
Nice shot - I don't think your nuts. Way to go for getting a great reflection shot!
ReplyDeleteLike a bunch of grapes! Well done for not dislocating anything :D
ReplyDeleteThe results look effortless...and very very nice...I like your description of yourself, since I thought I was the only one who contorted to get a shot...Of course the other guys make it look sooo easy :)

Brilliant, my fave so far. I would never have thought to turn it sideways. Love the description of your hard work.
