Day Six

I'm not totally thrilled with todays shot.  It's a bit boring.  I need to start jotting down things I want to do and actually do them.  I think of shots I want to try but need to dedicate plenty of time to practice and set up and see if I can actually make them work.  So, boring shot today :)

Oh I found another use for my Sculpey today.  Little itty bitty pieces work great to keep me from losing my marbles ;)

  1. I do think you have a very nice picture today.
It maybe could have used a little more space at the top that is all.
It really looks like a marble family on the road to somewhere.
I do like it a lot, very clean and a nice reflection as well.

  2. I really like your choice of subject, there are so many possibilities! Your collection so far is great! My favorites so far are the first one and the one from day 4.

  3. Very crisp and clean shot, they are just waiting for tomorrows action!

  4. I really love the reflective surface they are on. Gives the whole thing a very slick and professional finish. Great arrangement of the subject too. Nice work! I also think a bit more space at the top would go down well.

  5. I don't think it's boring at all! Beautiful is what I think - and it fits in with the rest of the collection perfectly!

  6. Somehow I think placing the marbles so high in the frame gives it a slight tension which I do not completely mind at all. The shiny surface gives nice subtle reflections.

  8. It is easy with the white background to extend your crop. Here is your picture with more negative space: http://finishing101.blogspot.com/2011/01/white-back-ground.html

  9. Yeah, the photo originally had plenty of white all around it. I tried different crops and didn't like it. I attempted to go with the marbles and the reflections centered, but the big marble's reflection is a little longer because it's closer to the camera and it threw me off.

  10. I think this is a wonderful shot! The different colors in the marbles and the nice clean whiteness of the background really compliment each other. I don't think it's boring at all.

  12. Lovely colours! The marbles look slightly 'squashed' up at the top there though
